Which one should i go with Vizio 32’’ VOJ320 1080p LCD HDTV or Samsung 32″ LN32A300 LCD HDTV ?
Sunday, December 21st, 2008I'm trying to skip the black Friday chaos? These are the two in my budget.
Of course Samsung 32" LN32A300, but this model was release in Feb 06 and it is replaced with Samsung LN32A450 which also 32" which cost about $600 at Amazon.

What is "HDT" for my Vizio 42' HDTV?
Friday, December 19th, 2008I bought a 42' Vizio T.v. recently and I was reading the settings and such, and it says 720p is what my t.v. can go to, but when reading descriptions on other sites, it says with "HDT" it's capable of going 1020p. I know there is some debate over wether the best picture is 420p or 1080p is better or something like that. Can anyone help with a good explanation of what is "HDT"? and if anyone knows how to get it to 1080p?
Ok first off your tv is only capable of 720p or 1080i (Pretty much the same thing) You can use a 1080p input such as a blu-ray or Playstation 3 but then it wont display it in a 1080p format just a 1080i format because thats the highest resolution your tv can go. Theres no way to get true 1080p on your tv because it doenst support the resolution but you can get 1080i which is also very good. HDT means High Definiton Tuner which is the ATSC and QAm tuners which do all your high definition programming.

i played around with it for a while and i eventually found i like it set to cool the backlight high like 90-85 and the color about 54 brightness about 52-55 andcontrast about 57 but i play around with it email me if you find one better and though flesh tone makes it brighter i personally find it too bright so i don't use it

How can I calibrate my Vizio HDTV to my Sony Blu Ray DVD Player?
Monday, December 15th, 2008Apparently this is possible, I'm trying to get optimal performance out of my TV and I want my Blu Ray DVDs to play like they do at retail stores such as Best Buy. I didn't pay this kind of money for nothing.
First a Blu Ray is not a DVD and a Blu Ray Player is not a DVD Player. They are both discs but one is a Digital Versatile Disc and the other is a Blu Ray Disc.

Problem with my Vizio HDTV?
Thursday, December 11th, 2008So I own a 37" Vizio LCD HDTV. I am having problems watching the digital channels, for some reason it will not tune into them anymore. Even if I enter them manually on the remote all I get is a blue screen that flickers a little bit. It will only tune into the analog channels. I disconnected the main power for at least an hour, it started to work again and I was able to watch the digital channels. Then I turned it on the next day and again, I wasent able to view them and the blue screen appeared again. I have it connected to an antenna and yes its plugged into the TV, yes the antenna is on and powered and yes the TV is set to AIR not CABLE.
No I cannot return it because it is more than a year old so the warranty is no longer active. What is wrong with it? Is it fixable? How much will it cost ti repair it? Any help will do, thank you!
call up the maker or someone if they say its done its done

My cousin just bought that tv for his HDMI 360 and he has loved it ever since. Once in a while i'll go over to his house and play GHIII or something with him and the quality is awesome I love it and want one for myself I reccomend the 37" this is a good tv, this people don't know crap you can't read reviews you need to check for yourself. Vizio is a good company with great LCD Tv's with HDMI hook-ups. Go ahead and buy it but get the 37" if you can dude. You will be amazed.

Sunday, December 7th, 2008I have a Vizio 26" Widescreen LCD HDTV and I can't it's sound to go through my home theater system. My system has a tv output jack but I don't know where to plug in the other end of the cables on my tv. I've tried a lot of places on it but I can't get it to work.
It sounds to me like you need to hook up an audio cable ( a red & a white connector on each end) from audio-out on the cable box to the audio-in on the surround sound receiver.

Yes it is. Any tv is compatible with the tuner, just as long as it has video inputs on it, which pretty much all new tvs have inputs on them especially hdtvs. You can you component cables or hdmi to connect the tuner for hd use.

If you can currently receive local digital channels via an antenna, you are all set for the 2009 transition. The converter boxes convert the digital signals for use by older analog TV sets.

Saturday, November 29th, 2008I'm trying to determine which HDTV to get for my bedroom. I already have a brilliant one in the living room now I'm looking for one for the bedroom. I'm mainly looking at vizio and olevia because of the price. And because most of the professional reviews say theres no difference between those two brands and the supposed good brands like sharp, samsung, and panasonic. Also 1080p doesn't matter because they say on any screen smaller than 42" you can't tell the difference.
So now I can't decide between olevia and vizio and since it's for my room it's either 32" or 37" which I haven't decided either. My bedroom is about 9' by 12'
So please help me decide.
If you know another TV thats around the same prices and size thats not a cheaper brand like polaroid, westinghouse, or akai... let me know.
vizio has a good price but its one of the top 2 most repaired lcds out right now which isnt bad if you plan on getting an additional warranty. i would definately check into the olevia. Good luck!
