XBR series televisions represent the very best Sony has to offer in high definition viewing.
The XBR line of Full HD 1080p televisions incorporates all of Sony's latest technologies (including HDMI v1.3 features such as x.v.Color and Deep Color). Additional features like Motionflow 120Hz enable smoother motion when viewing movies or fast-action sports. BRAVIA Engine PRO with Digital Reality Creation upconverts all interlaced and progressive video signals including HD signals directly to 1080p for amazing detail and sharpness. And it's only fitting that your XBR make a statement not only through breathtaking picture quality, but by taking your breath away with optional color bezels. Now your LCD TV can be as distinct as your own personal style.

The video will look crappy unless you click this link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbnOWpNx7NA&fmt=22
Test footage recorded on my Sony HDR-SR12 high definition handycam.
The video is divided up into 3 sections:
1. HD test footage
2. 10.2 megapixel photos - taken with the handycam
3. clips recorded in smooth slow record mode, (which is in 300 frames per second)
**PLEASE NOTE**
the video size is 640 x 360, therefor watching the video in full screen will stretch the image and cause the video to look pixelated.
in future i will most likely export the video to 1920 x 1080 so you can see the camera quality at its full potential!.
check out the camera here:

thanks for watching, and dont forget to subscribe!

I have a 3 year old hdtv and when I go on dvd it says video 1 how do I remove it?
Video 1 is just the TV indicating what input it switched to. There should be a display option available that allows you to erase or turn this display off.

Sony showed a prototype of another 11 inch OLED television. They actually showed that the glass was so thin it could bend slightly and still maintain the visuals. Without the bezel the glass is only .3mm thick, thinner than a credit card.

I just got a Wii for christmas but i don't know how to set it up on our 50" sony DLP HDTV. I made a extra input for the wii but when i connect the cords, nothing shows up. The Wii did work on our 26" vizio just fine though. Can anyone help me??
the vizio is also a HDTV
does your TV have the component video inputs the blue/green cables? if not then it's probably not capable of connecting wii to it.
Try using an AV input to your TV. the quality is gonna be lower but it will work for sure.

Dom (DJE179) also pointed out that 1024 x 576 works as well and renders a bit quicker (helpful if you have a slower machine)
A lot of people have been asking how I made my recent vids fit the new wider Youtube video player so here is a quick video on the settings that I used.

YouTube now allows users to upload their videos in 720p High Definition. We must take advantage of this feature. Having the "Watch in HD" Link at the bottom of your videos will allow viewers to watch with great detail and an enlarged player. Great to have on all videos, looks professional and really enhances the quality!

Can anyone tell me how to connect Apple TV to a Sony Bravia? I'm getting a "no signal" message. I am using component A/V cables rather than an HDMI connection, and I have checked to be sure everything is plugged in correctly. The light is glowing white.

If your not getting a clear picture with the analog channels, check all of the cable connections, they could be loose. If that fails, schedule an appointment with your service provider to have a technician come out and trouble shoot it. It could be anything from a bad cable fitting to a faulty drop. but you're not going to easily figure that out unless you spend the 1,500 bucks for a signal meter. Alot of times its the drop (The cable running from the pole to the house) If thats the case, you could be looking at as little as 25 dollars for the visit.
Another option is to purchase a signal amplifier. The signal amplifier will boost your signal up to 15db. The only draw back is that if you have any equipment in the house ( Cable modem, eMta 'telephone modem', or a cable box) it could very well amplify the problem causing your other services to perform poorly.
My opinion and advice would be to schedule a visit from a technician. Its the cheapest surefire way to solve the problem.

I just purchased a Hitachi plasma(HDTV79). I have HD cable thru Comcast and A Sony dvd/receiver(DAV-C770). I would like to have surround sound while playing dvds/radio and when using the tv. I am not sure which components I should hook up to eachother. The Sony has one S-Video, one IEEE1394, component, and one optical hook-ups. Cable box has one S video, one DVI-D, one optical, component, and one IEEE1394 hook-ups. The tv has four HDMI(worth getting a cable DVI to HDMI?), component, one S-video, one optical hook-ups. Do I run cable from Cable to dvd the tv? Cable to tv? Dvd to tv? Or some sort of other configuration? Also, what cables would give me the best audio/video results?
Thanks
The best way would be to first by a DVD - HDMI cable to hook the cable box up to the TV (This is for video only) Then get an optical cable and hook it up from the cable box to the Sony unit. (THis is for audio) Finally get a set of component cables and hook it up from the Sony unit to the TV.
