when i got my 19" sanyo hdtv I noticed it got dim when i was looking up at it from below the shelf it sits on. so i went to the store and saw a 26" sanyo. i got all the way down below it and it had no color dimming or inverted colors. so i picked it up and when i got home mine looked fine but as soon as i went below eye-level, it got dim and inverted the colors. i got an RCA that is 32" that stays bright under eye level, so i'm lost. any help would work. thanks in advance.
Is it an LCD? If it is, this is normal. The contrast on LCD TVs fall dramatically when viewed from wide angles, or below eye level. The reason the TV in the store didn't do it is because of the bright store lighting.

The New Sanyo PLV-Z3000 1080P HD Home Theater Projector - Replaces (Sanyo PLV-Z2000)
Full High-Definition Resolution - 1080p
The PLV-Z3000 unleashes the full 1920 x 1080 high-definition potential from todays advanced full HD sources. This means rich, deep and accurate colors from SANYOs exclusive TopazReal HD. TopazReal HD brings together a team of technologies including a variable iris and lamp reactivity, a 14-bit digital signal processing, real-focus HD lens system, and, most importantly, a 3D color management system that addresses changes in color phase and color level to obtain perfect color reproduction. PLV-Z3000 uses 120Hz super-fast Full HD panel, which can increase smoothness in videos due to doubled frame rate from 60 frames/second to 120 frames/second using interpolation frame generation technology. The optimization of deep color from the color management system is supported via the projectors two HDMI 1.3 inputs.
Lens Maximization of Image Detail
Rated at 1200 lumens, the PLV-Z3000 is capable of an incredible 65,000:1 contrast ratio for superlative black levels, even in ambient light. Plus it has a newly-developed, high-efficiency lens that maximizes image details for exceptional optical performance.
Advanced Lens Shift for Various Room Environments
The PLV-Z3000 is outfitted with the industrys most advanced lens shifting function. When coupled with the projectors short throw capability and 2x zoom, the PLV-3000 can create a large screen image in any size room and from virtually any location. The lens shifting function allows widerange shifting up or down to three screen sizes and left to right to two screen sizes. The throw design of the PLV-Z3000, which is capable of projecting a 100-inch diagonal image from 10 to 20 feet away, makes it extremely suitable for small to mid-size home theaters.
Virtual Silent Fan Design
A 1200 lumen projector generates a tremendous amount of heat and requires a high quality fan to ensure proper operation. At this level of brightness, the fan is on most of the time and the noise can be extremely loud and disruptive, especially in smaller home theaters where the projector and the audience are in the same vicinity. To promote greater enjoyment of the film and to reduce noise levels during quiet passages of a film, the PLV-Z3000 is equipped with the industrys quietest fan, a large aperture, low noise Sirocco cooling fan that never rises above 19dB in the economy mode.

Hello, I have a Toshiba Satellite A135-S7404 and I am connecting to my new HDTV (sanyo DP42848) via s-video cable. The issue that I have is that the display is only clear in a small "window" on my HDTV and with a low resalution. is there a driver that I need to download to get the correct display setting for the s-video output to my HDTV or am I mission some odd setting. I find it odd that the picture looks so crappy (at the best setting i can find) on my HDTV... even a step by step on how to set it up is welcomed.
Sorry to say, but an HDTV is only as good as the signal that you're feeding it. In this case, the laptop's video capabilities coupled with the analog s-video output make it not possible to make the picture better.

i just bought a new sanyo hdtv and hooked the cable box up to it. cablevision's remote is changing the channels through the cable box but it won't turn on or off the tv or control the volume of the tv. what do i need to do?
Google the model number of the remote. You'll find important code info that way. In the case of my remote though, you would turn on the TV, press the "setup" button on the remote, push and hold the "TV" button on the remote until the light on the remote flashes twice, then you would enter one of the codes listed for SANYO TV's. After that, push the power button on the remote and if the TV turns off, you entered the right code. If the TV does not turn off, then start over and try a different code. The codes my remote lists for SANYO TV's are as follows:
0154, 0088, 0107, 0146, 0159, 0232, 0484, 0799, 0893, 1142. My remote worked with the first code.
