i recently bought a insignia 47" lcd hdtv. i set it all up and everything is fine, but the picture is zoomed in and i cannot see the entire picture. how do i zoom it out?
Look on your remote for a button labled Size or Aspect or Wide or PSize...if you press it it will cycle thru 3 to 5 different picture sizes.

I have a NS-LCD TV Insiginia and the Image on the LCD screen washes out and colorful vertical stripes appear on the screen... What do you think that is?
Do you have the component cables connected correctly? If so then maybe you have a defective TV. I have had a 32 in Insignia for almost a year and it has been a good TV.

i am looking for a reasonably priced good quality hdmi cord for my ps3. my tv is 1080p .HD 47 inch. i dont want to be that person that gets a hdmi cable and my ps3 screen starts to flicker or the sound is bad
Buy a category 2 cable. Any generic brand can do since the category 2 standard is capable of far beyond 1080p and demands a certain quality of wire. I bought one on ebay for less than a dollar (not counting shipping and handling which was almost just as negligible) and works perfect.

I just bought a brand new Insignia HDTV today from Best Buy and I hooked it all up and it looks nice and all but I noticed I am getting a lot more channels now than I used to with my old analog television. I am getting some local news channels in HD and some movie channels as well. I only have basic Comcast Cable service and don't pay for HD so I don't know why I am getting these channels. I'm not complaining because the more channels the better, but I am just curious as to why I am getting all of these. I have a built-in HDTV tuner in my new television but I am really unsure about how all this works. I would highly recommend this camcorder to anyone wanting to make videos, but not break the bank. It's decent.

I have a 19" Insignia HDTV and I bought the HD component cable thing so my xbox will work with it. The cable has two sets of cords, one with a red, a blue, a green, and a yellow, and one with a white and another red. In the back of my TV it has a video 3 component input place where it says to put in red blue and green. above it theres a place for white and red, next to that theres some kind of digital audio out thing that is blue, and then theres the normal yellow white and red for non HD next to those. How exactly do i set up the cables and what video do i put the tv on?
I know it can be confusing with all those unnecessary cables.

I primarily use my new HDTV for playing Xbox 360 and watching DVD's. My games show up looking great, and most DVD's I play look good too. However, yesterday I put in Smallville season 5 and it was pretty fuzzy, and didn't look high-def at all. Also, I used it to watch standard broadcast television, and again, it doesn't look that great. Is there any way to remedy these two problems? If it helps, here is the model I have:

LCD is better because it doesn't wear down like plasma. Plasma starts to get discolored after a few years. The only blatant advantage to plasma is that is better for watching sports.

I have a insignia with treble and bass up to 100...people talking is hard to hear sometimes. Too much ambient noice.
This is a common issue. In many cases the voices are lost in the music or other sounds.
