i need good video and sound quality for my ps3 and 47" HDTV. i saw a good priced dynex for 23 dollars. some reveiws on the product were bad others weren't. is there honestly any differecnce between hdmi cables
Yes there is a difference between HDMI cables. I've tried out different cables from cheap $5 to $50 Sony cables and $100 Monster cables. Some little bits of detail are not shown correctly using cheap cables, but it also depends on personal preference as some people think the cheap cables look great too.
This is my 60GB xbox 360 hooked up to a 26" LCD HDTV DYNEX television. My 1st generation 8GB ipod touch, Compaq laptop, and my 3 games and 2 controllers. My Gamertag is Cpt Insano77 if you want to add me on Xbox Live. Thanks for watching my first video.

I can't afford to buy a receiver, amplifier(s), and whatever else, so I've come to the conclusion that it's either home theater in a box or a soundbar. I have my eye on the HTD-DW790 home theater system from SONY, but I don't know if I need to buy anything else with it, or how to hook it up...I just got a Dynex 26" HDTV a little over a week ago, btw...
and it seems the most logical choice for a soundbar would be the SONY HTCT100...I'm guessing this would be a little easier to hook up. Both systems have a 4 star avg rating on Amazon, and supposedly soundbars have inferior sound...but as I said, even though the home-theaterNabox is quite cheaper, I don't know if I'd need anything to go w/ it...plus, I'm not very tech savvy, so I'm worried I might blow something up if there's too many things connecting to a bunch of things etc. etc.;...
first of all buddy you only have a dynex why spend the same price you spent on the tv on the surround sound.... go and get the insignia surround or even the samsung surround sound.. it would be suitable for that television... but other that that i heard of alot of problems with that sony htib system... people told me they said the problem will be fix

I try to record Digital TV on the VCR. After I record it, I try to play the video that I just record. Nothing is recorded and I check everything and it connected correctly. I check the owner's manual of the VCR, the manual of the VCR said that the VCR only support NTSC mode. I am using a Dynex 37" Flat-Panel LCD HDTV. Can someone please tell me how can I record Digital TV on VCR?
You need a convertor box for the VCR to record or, or upgrade to a digital recorder with a digital tuner.
This is my update video showing my new upgrades done to it.

I have a RADEON 2400 HD Pro video Card with HD-MI output along with a 42" Dynex LCD flat panel also with HD-MI. I get no picture and tried every option of trying to turn it on (TV), including trying to extend it. And trying to use (Force TV search) Catalyst software doesn't see it. Windows makes a *buzz* Sound when I connect the cable, so I think it recognizes it. My best guess is to install a second driver, however I cant install the same driver twice? or can you; if so how??? I tried different versions of the ATI Catalyst, none seem to aid with this. My system is XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 with Service Pack 3. I tried installing a second display driver, Though when I did I had only a few choices, none with are pure generic and they give a (!) error (It wont let me install the same one twice. (if there is a way, how???) I was hoping there was a driver for the HDTV, though where??? if that's the case. In addition, I thought it was the "Video Card" So I went return it, and got another. Both with the same problem. The ATI Catalyst Version is 2008.1201.1504.27008 / I just downloaded it AGAIN, it is the latest version. I been fighting this thing for a Week, someone out there Please help! Tech support just left me on hold for 4 hours, with no answer...please help me.
Has a option for Attached, did so, it Lights up, until I hit apply then goes back to shady again. / Same with the Catalist, I can Enable it, but then after a moment, it goes back to shady again. Im stumbed.
did you activate the 2nd video output?
**Watch in high quality!!! **
I just got this bad boy handycam for xmas. And so i thought i through up a demo video, for users thinking of buying the Sony HDR-FX 1000. This camera is great for auto - focusing and selecting objects to blur out.
I really enjoy this camera, and so i though i would shoot some stuff of my cat tiger. It is a HD camera, record on Mini DV tapes. And works with a mac
One problem with the camera, if you buy from sony!
*Sony doesnt provide the I.LINK cable, so go to your local best buy to buy the IEEE 4 PIN / 6 PIn fire wire cord. If you have the new macbook, its 4/4 PIN. Im on the older macbook, so i got a dynex 4 pin (camera plugin) 6 pin firewire plugin. Other wise, sony provides all the other stuff. And theirs no software to be installed. You just need imovie or final cut hd....

is this a good gaming tv for my xbox 360? i dont want the display to be stretched or letter-boxed.if its not a good tv can you give me some ideas on a good cheap lcd tv nothing bigger than 22". im going to use an hdmi cable and wanted to know if i could get 1080p out of this with a good clean undistorted picture? HERES A LINK- http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8987475&type=product&id=1218006548849
Ignore the moronic answers you've received so far! First, no 1080p available until at least 32" and regardless of your input, you cannot get more than the native resolution of your TV supplies - 720p in a small screen. Second, most will not be able to tell the difference between 1080p and 720p until about 50" unless they sit with their nose a foot away from the screen and are inputting a 1080p BRD. 1080p currently is more marketing hype than anything.
Stay far away from Vizio and Dynex and the rest of the cheap third tier junk TVs! Read this - http://hdguru.com/?p=107/
In relatively inexpensive small screen LCDs, look at Toshiba and Sharp for a modicum of performance and reliability.
I got this TV for Christmas. This is my first YouTube unboxing video so excuse it if it isn't so good.

I have my ps3 hooked up to a pretty old 48" jvc "projection hdtv" via a Sony hdmi. The video quality of games looks great and movies just look normal.
But the problem is that whenever I play games, this transparent "glitch like" line appears across my whole screen and I know its a problem wid the hdmi connection cause it never happened before.
I'm getting a HDTV this week and the salesman wants me to buy the Monster cables which are $103 each.
I see the DYNEX HD-MI A/V Cables are allot cheaper. I can get some gold plated ones from Ebay for like $5/$8.
How are the DYNEX cables compared to the Monster cables?
Is there that much more benefit from the Monster cables?
I want to hook up my Xbox 360, TIVO and my Stereo with CD player along with the HD cable box, how many cables will I need?
the salesman at best buy, unsurprisingly hasn't a clue. Unless you need to run a cable over 10 feet, the monster cable or other $100 hdmi cable brings nothing to the party that a $15 cable can't.
Does anybody know how good of a deal this LCD HDTV is? This is my first HDTV purchase and I did not want to spend much and saw many good reviews of this HDTV, but also some negative ones. Also, could someone go on consumerreports.org to check what they said about this HDTV. Thanks.
It can be fine. Even the worst brands have less than 10% failure rate. The only question is the warranty. It is hard to find all the info. Some sets must be mailed to California for service. And some make you pay for the shipping. Which means you will never do it because it costs $300 or more.
Consumer Reports did not review Dynex..
Its a Dynex® 37" Flat-Panel LCD HDTV. We only get channel 4 to 135 or something. efore we had about all channels except hbo showtime ans starz etc
You need the converter box to recieve the channels past 135, AND it decodes the encrypted channels like Showtime, HBO, Starz etc....
is a dynex a good buy it seems to have good reveiws
It depends on how much you're paying for it
I bought this TV at Circuit City it had went on sale. I figured well its Toshiba so it should be a safe bet. Compare to the other no name brands TV such as Element, Dynex and some others. I read review on Best Buy and Circuit City most are positive some few negative. I have to be honest although its a good picture I am not all that impress. I am using an Antennae to receive over the HDTV signals. I have played around with the settings. Anyone has experience with this TV or know where I can get a professional review of it.
Toshiba 26" LCD HDTV
TOP 26AV502U
Check google:
Worth it?
Well. it is considerably cheaper than most any similar sized sets, doesn't have 120 hz or any of the other advanced features. I guess I would have to say that there is truth to the old adage that you get what you pay for.
I'm just looking for good deals, sites, stores, etc.. I want to sell my dynex 32 inch 720p hdtv and get a 1080p hd.. if I can find one I can afford of course. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
SEll yours on eBay, or Craigslist for FREE....As far as buying one, I'd look at Wal-mart or Samsclub for a Vizio...best bang for your buck.
While watching TV I notice that its making these "popping" sounds. Is something wrong with the speakers? Or is it something I can easily adjust on the T.V?
can Dynex® - 3' HDMI A/V Cable use for PS3 and HD tv?
Both are 37" but I'm torn between. The Westinghouse looks very nice on the outward appearance and the picture quality looks good to. I'm mostly a gamer but I'd also like to watch channels in a crisp sharp looking picture. Which should I choose?
Good luck with either! Both are third tier junk made from god-only-knows what kind of cheap Chinese parts and are a part of the group of TVs discussed at http://www.hdguru.com/?p=107/
In 37" or 32" LCD, the best LCDs in both performance and reliability are Panasonic Viera and Sony Bravia. A bit less expensive, but still good quality, is Toshiba, followed by Sharp and Samsung. After these, I wouldn't buy, as quality just falls off too fast. If these are too expensive, consider dropping down a size to 32".
The choice is not so simple. They're both $700. However, for the Samsung, I'd have to stay up all night as it is a black friday deal. They're both LCD, but the Dynex is 1080p and the Samsung is 720p.
Turns out I bought this on Black Friday, but actually
I bought it returning from the airport after 4 days in
Los Angeles, CA with my brother for thanksgiving. We
went to Disneyland for Thanksgiving day, not a bad
deal but I feel like I got run over by a Disney
ad campaign (bring your gas mask if you do the "autopia"
ride, CA emissions test hasn't touched that ride).
Anyhow, coming home on black friday, stopped off at
Best Buy and picked up this LCD TV.. I think having a HDTV
in my ramada hotel room encouraged me to get it.
It's got everything, and at 200 dollars you can't lose..
HDMI,VGA, Composite, Component, SVGA, Stereo SPDIF (even
fiber audio) output. Note if you look on the Dynex box, it
says it was made in china, but "designed in california"
so this is not just another shoddy product from China).
I've got 15 minute charger and some wifi pcmcia cards from
Dynex, and this is the first big-buck item I've bought..
I'm completely 100% satisfied.. Well so far..
As this video will show you, it's not lacking anything..
What compelled me to get it? Well after essing the value of
the bulk of the items in the store. Noting the fact that Best Buy's
sales people corralled off the really good stuff, like the ASUS
EEEPC for $259, I had figured there were good buys, but they'd face
up all the crap they wanted to get off their books. So I looked
way back in the back of the store, near all the smallish lcd's was
this gem. They had at least the decency to connect it to a digital
HD source, so I could ess the quality, and I could not believe my eyes,
the playback was fast, 60fps+, 720P, 200 dollars, great color, nice detail,
faces had even gradient tones, no jpeg artifacting visible, and seemed to anti-alias the high contrast details. The video they were playing was a european soccer game, with green turf and yellow ball, I could even make out details on the ball, I could see the goalie's net and back out the pattern of rain that was falling on the field. Then and there I determined, man I must have this monitor.
That aside,
